Here at ULM, I know that the university takes each student's physical and mental health very seriously. And so we have different resources on campus here for students to help with that. We have the Counseling Center and our Health Clinic, as well as our Activity Center, and many different religious organizations. At our Activity Center, we offer so many different types of resources. With the simple swipe of a student ID, students have access to basketball courts, volleyball courts. We have access to a track, a weight room, a dance room. We even have access to a game room as well. ULM stays on top of the well-being of their students by offering services through the Counseling Center. I know every professor puts it into their syllabus talking about how you can get in contact with the Counseling Center, and their numbers and the times that they are available. They also send out emails to discuss what the Counseling Center does and what they can do to help you. Students can find the health services right across from Madison Hall. And it's something that has helped me because when I am away from home and I'm not able to get in contact with my family doctor, they're there to help me. The Office of Career and Student Development helps prepare students for life after college. We help students craft their resumes. We do cover letter reviews, helping them with their collaboration, helping them with their leadership skills. And so all of those skills can actually be transferable from the college arena to the workforce. The Office of Career and Student Development hosts loads of events, things like part-time career fairs, full-time career fairs, an internship fair, networking events, resume-building workshops. It depends on what you're looking for, and I'm sure we have an event for you. We do offer our TRIO program here at ULM. The program allows first generation college students to not only meet with each other, but to meet with the different faculty members that we have here on campus. And they offered so many different types of resources including scholarships, which is a really special opportunity for somebody who's just getting to college.
