The Foundation Scholarship those can be added on to your academic scholarship if you apply for them and get them as well as any out of state fee waivers for out of state students. Here at the University of Louisiana Monroe, there are a variety of opportunities for students to earn scholarships. Your first advantage, if you're a resident of Louisiana, is TOPS. TOPS can take care of tuition depending on your ACT score. Students who are not from the state of Louisiana, if they meet certain criteria can actually also qualify for state tuition waivers. But we also have Presidential Scholarships. We have Foundation Scholarships, and then we have Honors Scholarships. Students are often amazed by just the number of scholarships that they are eligible to receive. The first tip that I would give a student who's looking for resources to be able to attend college is apply for these scholarships. I was able to actually have a academic recognition scholarship as well as external scholarships that have been awarded to me that I'm very, very thankful for. One of the biggest pieces of advice I have for incoming freshmen is to really consider all of the amazing things that ULM can do for you. The smaller class sizes and smaller community can really help you have more opportunities and get connected with more people.
