I think the most important thing about ULM is the place that it makes for each and every student. The moment that I toured ULM, I knew that all of the faculty, all of the staff members actually cared about me. I wasn't just another enrollment number, and that they truly wanted the best for me, and was going to help me establish a way to make my future as successful as possible. The admissions process was pretty easy. There's a lot of resources on campus, a lot of people that you can reach out to so any kind of problem can easily be resolved through just simple communication and asking the right questions. ULM is a smaller school, but really, it feels like home. It feels like everybody's close with each other. I think that's why someone should choose ULM. I think a major thing new students should expect is a sense of community and family. There are a lot of student organizations around campus that allow you to feel like you belong somewhere. Any walk of life, any kind of ideology is respected and acknowledged here. So anybody should feel comfortable coming to campus and immediately finding a group to call family.
